Venice – The Best City Break?

With over 400 cities in Europe, it can be a daunting prospect choosing which one to visit; however Venice is arguably the best. With no roads on the whole island, you have to weave your way through tight canals on a small gondola or dart through crowded streets. It’s a surreal experience wandering through the alleyways and across spanning bridges, and there seems to be a surprise around every corner. The photography options are endless, and it’s amazing to be in such a picturesque environment.

The city can start to smell in the summer due to the warm canals, so go in spring or autumn to capture the best experience of the city.

Local Knowledge is the best, spend the extra money on a guide for the day, and they will show you so much more than any guide book could.

The city is very expensive since that everything has to be imported (10 Euros for a Hot chocolate!), so make sure that you bring enough cash.

A trip on a gondola is always worth it.

Venice may be beautiful, but is it worth it? Definitely. There‚Äôs a reason it’s so famous, and that’s because there is no other place like it; the experiences you will have will last with you forever.
Seeing as it’s slowly sinking, you should probably go sooner rather than later.
